Roses are Red and Violets are Blue...

Isn't our artistic garden looking fantastic in full bloom?

Ferocious Flowers

Students used wire armatures in order to create the skeleton of these "ferocious flowers" and then paper machet over top.  The assignment was to create large crazy looking flowers... but I would have to say they all turned out to be quite a beautiful array of sculptures.
These are some examples of our 6th grade Exploring Art radial printmaking pieces. It is the first project we complete in class.

Copper Tooling

Students from Claggett will be using imagery from their own family crest or coat of arms in order to create a detailed design on their own books.

Art Attacks Next Project

Our next project for Art Attack (sculpture) is a small scale project dealing with relief.  We will be creating copper tooled journals/sketchbooks. Depending on the amount of detail these can be VERY cool projects.  Here are just a few examples of other student work from the art show before we get started on our own!  Enjoy!
